Label Weight & Carton Estimator
Estimate self-adhesive label reel weight, carton quantities and pallet space before dispatch.
← All technical resourcesA practical approximate weight and packing estimate for die-cut labels on rolls. This first version uses published HERMAextracoat (242) / 62D / PH 523 glassine data, with optional custom inputs for other constructions. Results update immediately.

From labels to dispatch-ready cartons
Our estimates start with a typical 400 × 400 × 200 mm box, a maximum gross carton weight of 20 kg, and a 1200 × 1000 mm pallet. Adjust the advanced packing assumptions where needed.
We have used your real carton-loading photograph here. This estimator gives an approximate planning figure, not a guaranteed packing instruction.

All measurements are approximate. The nominal carton is 400 × 400 × 200 mm. Packing layouts are simple estimates, not a dispatch guarantee.
Estimated result
Important: This is a planning tool, not a certified shipping weight or quotation. It assumes one label across the web, matrix stripped, full glassine liner retained, uniform caliper and idealised straight packing. It does not include ink, varnish, laminate overlays, pallet-wrap, interleaving, packing voids, tolerances or production waste; cores and cartons are user-adjustable approximations. Circle/oval weight is based on die-cut area, whereas the backing liner remains rectangular. Final weights, reel diameters, carton counts and safe pallet stacking must be confirmed by Northern Labels. HERMA figures are typical, not guarantees.
