Asset and equipment identification
Barcodes, serial information, warning symbols and durable identification.

Durable identification, warning, asset and security labels for challenging environments.
Industrial labels may need to resist handling, abrasion, oils, chemicals, moisture or challenging surfaces. There is no single adhesive or film suitable for every environment. We can discuss the conditions before recommending a construction.

When an asset label needs to stay readable on a hard-working machine, the film, adhesive and printed image need to be chosen as a complete system.

Polyester (PET) label facestock can offer excellent dimensional stability and resistance to rubbing, moisture and many workshop conditions compared with ordinary paper. The adhesive must also be matched to the metal or plastic surface and any contamination present when the label is applied.
Resin thermal-transfer printing adds variable asset numbers, serials and barcodes. For example, inkanto AXR 7+ is a resin ribbon designed for durable synthetic labels with strong resistance to scuffing and scratching, and resistance to certain chemicals.
Designed for traceability: high-contrast data that remains readable through routine handling and maintenance can be more useful than an attractive label that fails prematurely.
Resistance to oil, solvents, cleaners, heat or outdoor exposure depends on the complete label/adhesive/ribbon construction. Confirm the actual conditions and trial the application; no label system is resistant to every fluid or treatment.

Function comes before the finish. These genuine Northern Labels equipment photographs show examples of specialist identification and tamper-evident labelling.
VOID-effect films and destructible materials can indicate interference with a product or fastener. Real-world performance depends on surface, dwell time and attempted removal.
High-quality white or silver PET films combined with an appropriate adhesive and compatible resin thermal-transfer ribbon, such as AXR 7+, can support readable barcodes and serial numbers in demanding equipment environments. Suitability depends on practical exposure testing.
Warning labels and control-panel identification need durable legibility and suitable application testing; material choice depends on the particular operating environment.
